Below is a list of emergency agencies needing volunteers:

New Canaan Red Cross – humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

Community Emergency Response Team(CERT) – The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program helps train and equip citizens to be prepared to help themselves and their neighbors in the event of a disaster, crisis or common emergency.

Medical Reserve Corps – Dedicated to establishing teams of local volunteer medical and public health professionals to contribute their skills and expertise throughout the year as well as during times of community need.

– a public safety agency dedicated to protecting the citizens from fire, rescue and environmental emergencies.
